Nuttle / Claude and Reddit
Claude can't open Reddit. It can read what you've opened.
Read Reddit in your own browser, the way you always do. Nuttle keeps every thread you open — comments and nested replies included — on your computer, and Claude works from that copy. Summaries, research, complaint lists, with quotes you can click back to.
- Claude never visits Reddit
- You browse as yourself
- Data stays on your machine
WHAT YOU CAN ASK
Reddit research, with Claude doing the reading
- “What do people in these threads actually complain about?”Claude reads every comment and reply you loaded and groups the complaints, each with verbatim quotes that link back to the comment.
- “Summarize the replies under this post”The post and its whole comment tree arrive together, so Claude sees who replied to whom, not a flat list.
- “Wait while I scroll, then sum it up”Keep reading; Claude picks up each new batch of comments as it loads.
- “Which of these tools do people say they'd pay for?”Ask across everything you've read this week, not just the tab that's open.

FAQ
Questions
Why can't Claude open Reddit?
Since September 2026 Claude's browser tools have refused reddit.com, and Reddit limits automated access. Nuttle doesn't change either: Claude still never visits Reddit. You read Reddit in your own browser, and Claude reads the copy Nuttle saved on your computer.
Which Claude apps work?
Claude Code (claude mcp add --transport http nuttle http://127.0.0.1:8787/mcp) and Claude Desktop (add the nuttle-mcp package to claude_desktop_config.json). Cursor, Codex and other MCP clients work too.
Can Claude see my whole browser?
No. Claude only sees what Nuttle saved from the sites you turned on, stored in a local database. It can't browse, click or send requests to Reddit.
Will my Reddit account get banned?
Nuttle sends no extra requests and never auto-scrolls, so it behaves exactly like you reading the thread. Platform rules are up to Reddit, and we can't make guarantees on its behalf.
Is anything uploaded?
Nuttle uploads nothing; the data and the MCP server stay on your machine. What Claude reads is passed to the model like any other tool result in your Claude session.
Does this work for other sites?
Yes, the same way: X, Amazon and other sites you browse. If you can open it in your browser, Nuttle can keep it for Claude. For sites without a plugin, use Data → Discover.
You read Reddit. Claude reads what you read.
Nuttle also keeps X replies, Amazon product details and the videos you watch. See everything it does
